The competitive paper awards for 2009 will be based on a combination of reviewer scores from the initial paper evaluations earlier this year and recommendations of the track chairs. Approximately 100 papers have been identified by this process as eligible for further consideration and the authors have been contacted directly.

Award committees comprised of track chairs and other scholars are now deliberating these finalists.
