2020 Applied Finance Conference

15 May 2020 | St. John's University, New York, NY

Important update:

After closely monitoring the developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19) through the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have decided to cancel the 2020 Applied Finance Conference. While the CDC currently determines the immediate risk of exposure to the virus to be low in most communities in the U.S., we have decided to cancel with concern for the health and well-being of our members, staff, and partners.

The Tenth Anniversary FMA Applied Finance Conference will be hosted at St. John’s University’s Tobin School of Business's Manhattan campus located in the heart of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

The Conference is much smaller and more focused than the FMA’s traditional meetings and includes a relatively small number of papers to provide ample opportunity for presentations and discussion by participants. FMA seeks high-quality papers from scholars and practitioners in the fields of finance and accounting that:

  • Inform practice and advance the frontiers of academic research in directions relevant to practice.
  • Address issues that are relevant to contemporary issues globally and for policy formation and assessment.
  • Introduce new hypotheses that have the potential to stimulate additional research.
