2020 Annual Meeting

Dear FMA International Members:

As the world continues to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the FMA Executive Committee and Vice President Program Reena Aggarwal have concluded that it would be impossible to safely host the 2020 FMA Annual Meeting, scheduled to take place on October 14-17 at the New York Marriott Marquis, as an in-person meeting.

This difficult, but necessary decision was made with the health and safety of our attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and staff in mind, and in recognition of the increasing government regulations, domestic and international travel restrictions and the continuing public health emergency. We appreciate your continued support and dedication during these uncertain times, and reaffirm our commitment to you, as members, to provide premier opportunities for professional interaction and development.

In this regard, while we look forward to a time when we can re-convene our members in person, the FMA staff team looks forward to launching a new virtual meeting that will offer the same great research and pedagogy content and opportunities to connect with colleagues worldwide that you have enjoyed at the association’s face-to-face meetings. The new virtual meeting will take place October 19-23. We will be reaching out to individual presenters, special event coordinators, and partners with additional details within the coming weeks. If you were already registered to attend the face-to-face Annual Meeting in New York, you will be receiving a separate communication shortly about refund options for your registration fee.
