FMA International is pleased to announce its 12th Asia/Pacific Conference at Monash University, Caulfield Campus in Melbourne, Australia. FMA’s Asia/Pacific Conference brings together academicians and practitioners with interests in financial decision-making and provides a forum for presenting new research and discussing current issues in financial management and related topics. 

Presentations of research papers, panel discussions, tutorials, and exhibits will begin Monday morning and end Tuesday afternoon. The Doctoral Student Consortium (by application) will be held on Sunday.

Featuring Keynote Speaker 

Sumit Agarwal
Low Tuck Kwong Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Business School and a Professor of Economics and Real Estate, National University of Singapore. 

Dr. Agarwal has held positions as a Professor of Finance at the Business School, Georgetown University. Before that he was a senior financial economist in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and prior to joining the Chicago Fed, he was a senior vice president and credit risk management executive in the Small Business Risk Solutions Group of Bank of America. Dr. Agarwal's research interests include issues relating to financial institutions, household finance, behavioral finance, real estate markets and sustainability.

Dr. Agarwal will present his keynote on Household Sustainability.

 

Doctoral Student Consortium on Sunday, 11 December 2022

The Doctoral Student Consortium, coordinated by Sudipto Dasgupta, Professor of Finance, Chinese University of Hong Kong, includes a panel session with distinguished scholars discussing the latest advances in research and offering career advice. The afternoon breakout sessions give participants the opportunity to present job market papers or dissertation proposals and receive feedback from the faculty and panelists. Accepted participants receive complimentary conference registration.
